The Sinead knitting pattern is an eternally classic and elegant wardrobe hero inspired by vintage ballerinas and named for a dear friend and her passion for ballet.
Based on and developed from a vintage pattern for a classic wrap around ballet cardigan, The Sinead is a simple to knit timeless piece that has some beautiful details. The lovely detailing on the raglan sleeve decreases, a pretty tie belt, a slim vintage fit and options of either short sleeve or bracelet length sleeve versions.
Sinead can be knitted in any DK weight yarn that gives you the correct tension or gauge of 22 stitches x 30 rows to 10cms on size 4mm needles.
This romantic knit is well sized and goes from a 32"/81 cms to a 40"/102 cms bust however the finished garment is very accomodating. For reference, I have found that the 40" size is generous even on a 45" bust measurement. I would suggest knitting a size or even 2 down for a closer fit and size up for a generous fit.
