This is a PRINTED sewing pattern for you to sew your own DIY collar and perfect for confident beginners!

The Bess collar is a versatile and fabulous addition to your everyday wardrobe! Based on the highly decorative collars of the 1930’s, this simple make has so much scope for you to get creative and make truly unique little works of couture.

Detachable and ornate collars were a way for people to extend and adapt their basic wardrobe and the same can be said for today’s sartorial beauty! Wear with jumpers and jeans or over dresses, jackets or coats. Use up heirloom fabrics or re fashion from remnants, embroider, quilt or applique- there is a whole horizon of possibilities for you to express your sewing creativity with this quick to make, invaluable wardrobe item.

Named for my favourite Queen, Elizabeth the 1st or Good Queen Bess, who knew a thing or 2 about statement collars!

The pattern includes a full size paper pattern, a detailed illustrated step- by- step sewing guide and a postcard.

This pattern is for personal use only and is not to be used for commercial production. Garments made from this pattern cannot be sold as your own designs. No part of this pattern is to be reproduced or resold in any format in accordance with copyright law.
